Be the room parent without 300 unread messages
Example screens of the kind of tool SuperCat builds from this request. Yours is made around your life.
One place for the class year: party sign-ups, the teacher gift, chaperones and dates, and SuperCat in the class parents chat so parents can sign up or ask without you answering every message.

I'm the room parent for my daughter's 2nd grade class this year: 22 families, a group chat that gets busy, and parties, a teacher gift and field trips to organize.
Build us a small tool, and I'll add you to the class parents group chat so anyone can tag you to sign up for something, say what they sent, or ask a question. Ask me the teacher, the class list and the year's dates first.
Home screen: the one thing due this week and every event of the year with how covered it is.
For each party, a sign-up list of what to bring and helpers, with the class allergies on it.
The teacher gift: a goal, who has chipped in by child, and the total. Only I see who gave and how much; the chat only hears the total.
Chaperones and volunteers for field trips and library days, with whether each has cleared the school check.
When someone tells you something in the chat, update the tool and say what is still open. Never message parents first; I post reminders myself.
Friendly design that works on a phone. Reply with the link when it is ready.

What you get
- The one thing due this week, and every event of the year with how covered it is.
- Party sign-ups for food and helpers, with the class allergies on every list.
- The teacher gift with a goal and a total, where only you see who gave.
- Chaperones and volunteers, with who has cleared the school check.
- SuperCat in the class parents chat: tag it to sign up, say what you sent or ask when.
What usually gets in the way
- The class chat has 300 unread messages and the sign-up for the party is buried in it.
- Two families bring cupcakes and nobody brings plates.
- The teacher gift money comes by Venmo, cash and promises, and nobody knows the total.
- Field trip chaperones are found at the last minute, without the school check done.
- The same questions come up every week: when is it, what do I bring, how much.
The longer story
A room parent, room mom or room dad, runs a year of parties, gifts and field trips through a class group chat with twenty-odd families in it. The sign-ups and the money get lost in the scroll, and the room parent ends up answering the same questions every week.
A shared plan keeps each party’s sign-ups, the teacher gift and the volunteers in one place for the whole year. Add SuperCat to the class chat and any parent can tag it to take a job, say what they sent or ask what is happening, and it updates the plan and says what is still open. Who gave to the gift and how much stays with you.
SuperCat only acts when someone tags it, and any group admin can remove it.
Send it as it is, or change anything first
SuperCat asks a question or two, then builds it.
